Message	styling cues. As well as a few parts. When going from my S13 240sx to my first 300zx, I was suprised. Same color and texture tweed, same color and texture dash. Same interior door handles, same exact trunk/gas cap release. Similar steering wheel. Also the use of symetry, instead of the wrap around/twisted dash is there. The dash in the 240sx was also laid back a little, just not as drastic as the Z. I always found myself grabbing for the door handles in a different place at first though, because they are further forward and down in the Z, and the E-break was on the opposite side =/
